Venice, Italy

Apparently, Venice still basically looks as it did during the 13th Century. Thankfully, the small stone alleyways and bridges that weave through the myriad of canals don’t accommodate our more modern day cars either! Getting lost amongst the maze of streets all lined with art galleries and museums is only half the fun too. Seeing classical musicians singing operettas in the street, string quartets playing Vivaldi in the theaters, and all of the beautiful historical buildings and sites makes me really wonder if there could be a more unique arts community anywhere in the world. Even the water in the canals had more of a fresh saltwater smell than I had imagined and without the pollution of cars everywhere I found it to be one of the cleaner cities that I have ever been. Happy Easter everyone! Vai a Venezia...
