I can't think of a better way to start the new year than what I'm doing at the moment. Everyday I wake up, go to Starbucks, walk through beautiful Hyde Park here in London and then casually stroll into the Royal Albert Hall, play a gig (or two) and then come back home only to do it again the next day (for the next 6 weeks!)... It's quite 'mad' really - as they say here in the U.K. Performing at the RAH is like a dream come true for me. Walking through the back-stage corridors or up in the gallery just gives me a feeling of nostalgia thinking about all of the history that has taken place there. The RAH was built in 1871 and literally EVERYONE has performed there through the years. The crowds are extremely different than Japan (and there aren't any earthquakes during sound-check either!) but just as appreciative and even more enormous. It's funny but I'm listening to the local British radio at the moment and they are playing the Beatles - HA! Gotta love it... Cheers mates!
